Amber Cervantes, LPC, LMFT
Hi, I’m Amber Cervantes. I have been married to my husband for 25 years (that makes me old) and we have three amazing and highly sarcastic children that we have learned a whole lot of what not to do with.
I love to travel, experience new people, am a foodie, and I love hanging with my people and my dogs.
My Professional Background
I have worked in several inpatient settings for years. I have moved into outpatient therapy in the last year and am loving it. My past experience had me handling crisis situations daily and led me to become highly skilled at helping those in crisis or with PTSD and even those who don’t actually have the exact symptoms for a diagnosis of PTSD but do have many issues that stem from some sort of trauma. I am also trained in EMDR.
I am the kind of therapist that wants to see my patients get better and have the best life possible as quickly as possible. Your victories and growth are the reason I get up and go to work every morning. I am a natural nurturer, cheerleader and supporter. Clinically, my experience is vast and practical.
I am down to earth and I will try to meet you where you are, but I will absolutely push you to stretch and grow. Due to past experience in crisis I have a deep love and respect for first responders and hope to foster a safe place for this community and their families to deal with the hard things they live through on a regular basis.
